This blog is rather dead. I think everybody is too lazy to blog or some maybe even too busy to blog. Jiayou to Yonghui and Tianyuan in your kaoji and competition!
I think that was buggy who just blogged right? I agree that we should have a batch outing =))) Can we also go out and eat during lunch at least once during this holiday? I miss taking the bus together and just eating somewhere else other than school!
After today's horribly slack xiaozu, I was suddenly overwhelmed by some really random thoughts. Looking at how the juniors were practising for kaoji made me think of all the torture I (and maybe you all too!) had been through, just to get a certificate that cost $100+, excluding all the $-sapping lessons that he gave.
I am amazed that I have survived through everything and I only have 1 more year to go. Not that I am good now (I still am seriously quite horrible!), but at the very least, my ears are slightly more sensitive now! (Sadly, my rhythm is still quite off )= ) I look at the juniors, and I will think of the pain of learning a new instrument.
So much for building confidence by learning an instrument! Frankly speaking, I would not dare to learn another new instrument. Ever since young, I told myself I will grow up and finance myself and learn piano. (I know you can laugh your head of now because so many people out there of my age or even younger probably has a grade 8 or even diploma!) I was so inspired by my p4 music teacher who only learnt the piano when he was 35!
Anyway, point here is that erhu has stopped me from wanting to learn another instrument. I would want to hear myself play the piano, guitar and even cello properly and perfectly, but just think of myself not even being able to handle erhu puts me off. Besides, I don't like the whole process. At least not what I have been put through.
Cowardly right?
It's just some random thoughts I have after today. I bet it's the effect of kaoji when I am not in it this year =/
On a lighter note, let's try and fix a batch outing and I do beg for a lunch outside of school! I am quite sick of my bread/ cereal + milo lunch! =P
